| Location | THIS CASINO IS NO LONGER HERE THE SITE WILL BE REDEVELOPED SHORTLYSouth Strip right next door to the Monte Carlo, with cheap gift shops and doors that open directly on to the Strip. A well located little casino. |
|
| Theme | Based on a Coney Island (US Version of Blackpool) amusement park, with a large wooden rollercoaster and Ferris wheel going round above the casino roof. The theme is pretty thin by Strip standards and does not continue past the doors. | |
| Attractions | Well it could be better and that is an understatement. The external rollercoaster and Ferris wheel are for display only - you can't ride them! I could not even find any evidence of there being an arcade. | |
| Shopping | Well it’s touristy but hey we are tourists. There are several shops selling both vulgar and crude Vegas souvenir T-shirts and pretty much all types in between. There are several other gift shops selling amusing gifts as well as excellent priced native Indian gifts of silver and stone. Overall it's not bad for gifts to take home and maybe a souvenir or two. | |
| Dining | Almost all other Strip resorts dwarf this casino and accordingly it does not have an amazing range of dining establishments. The surf buffet (B$3.29 L$4.69 D$5.99) is cheap and we have been led to believe that there is a reason for this. The buffet is small but never appears to be too crowded there may be a reason for this to. The name implies that it contains seafood and this was a good enough reason for me to avoid it. However when we were last in Vegas this was the only buffet on the Strip to be open 24hrs. There is also a 24hr coffee shop and a 24hr Deli so I guess this is the place to gamble if you are partial to the odd midnight feast. | |
| Gaming | A tiny 33,000 sq ft is home to nearly 700 slot machines, about 20 tables and 2 roulette wheels, as this is most definitely a low rollers joint there is a heavy emphasis on nickel machines. Table minimums are slightly lower than other casinos in the area and you can usually find plenty of $3 action even on a Saturday night. The casino does seem a little quieter than its bigger neighbours and the slots not as occupied. The Craps tables though more than compensate for the lack of noise elsewhere. The games here are very loud and very friendly its tables are full of unpretentious folk who love the lower stakes and value a good time higher than seriously trying to beat the bank to pay off the mortgage. | |
| Drinks Service | I got served pretty quickly when I was playing craps but the service on the slots was not as hot. | |
| Best Thing | Very friendly Craps tables | |
| Worst Thing | Feels a little cheap | |
| Overall | A small friendly casino in a great location. | |
