Location Where the action is. South Strip, dead opposite the Mirage and next to Paris

Theme Ali Baba and the 40 thieves in a sort of Moorish extravaganza

Attractions To be honest we didn't see any

Shopping The Desert Passage has been billed as a rival to the Forum Shops at Caesars. Now I don't think that it’s quite that, but it’s very good all the same. This is one of the best themes in Vegas as a sort of Moorish bazaar with even the security guards wearing olive fatigues and red berets. It has the standard "Vegan" clouded sky and the Moorish buildings must stretch to the roof. The shops tend to be mid range quality outlets such as Aveda, Victoria Secret and Mont Blanc, as well as a good range of toyshops and gadgetry sort of stores. There are stores selling North African goods and novelties and what shopping mall in Vegas would be complete without the obligatory tacky souvenir and T-Shirt shops. You can of course also find shops that stock normal items of clothing. There is a rainstorm at one part of the shopping mall about once an hour, which is spectacular and looks very realistic.

Dining

The buffet at the Aladdin is the best I have ever eaten at. It had a large range of different cuisine's with a very large section of fish dishes. It had several stations where the food was freshly prepared for you like Chinese Stir-fry. The range of deserts was even better than the main courses. The service was good and the atmosphere and environment clean and quite sort of upper market (well as upper market as a buffet can be B:$13.99 L:$16.99 D:$23.99 Sunday Brunch $20.99 or $23.99 with Champagne)

We eat a couple of times at the food court which had a good range of coffee shops, pizza, burger and hot dog concessions all of these were ok but nothing more. The exception being the Coffee and patisserie shop that was very good. The Aladdin has about 6 other restaurants but as we did not eat at any of these I will not grade them.

Gaming This is one of my favourite casinos on the Strip, it is light and airy and has a very high roof and has a huge gold lamp that emits smoke in the centre of the casino. The slots do not seem as cramped as in other establishments and the odds seemed to be pretty fair. The range of slot machines is impressive with a surprisingly large amount of 5c machines. There are about 30 tables with blackjack minimum's being $5 and the same on roulette. There is also a "Casino within a Casino" called the London Club that is for high stake gamblers I hasten to add that we did not go in there. The cocktail service was brilliantly fast even when we were only playing on the nickel machines. There is a sort of little mezzanine above the main casino floor called the bird's nest. There is a great little bar with about 40 slots and a lounge act on, we spent a lot of time in this location slots, drinks lounge acts brilliant. Change girls seem to be never more than a holler away and engineers arrived whenever there was a problem damn quick which is more than can be said for may other Casinos on the Strip.

Drinks Service The cocktail service was brilliantly fast even when we were only playing on the nickel machines.

Best Thing Drinks service and high ceilings

Worst Thing Distance between the casinon and the car park

Overall A well thought out and fun upper end market casino with great shopping, wonderful staff and rooms.
